How to cancel your subscription to GMass’s mail merge tool depends on whether you subscribed with a credit card or PayPal.
Credit Card Subscriptions
Two ways to cancel a credit card-based subscription:
New Way:
Log in to our dashboard at https://gmass.co/dashboard with the account you subscribed. Then click Settings at the top, then Account at the left, and then the Cancel option.
Old Way:
First, you must have the GMass extension installed. If the GMass buttons aren’t showing up in your Gmail interface, then it’s not installed. You can install it from our homepage.
Then, log in to the Gmail account whose GMass subscription you wish to cancel. If you don’t have access to that Gmail account anymore, log in to ANY Gmail account that is connected to GMass.
1. Launch a regular Gmail Compose Window.
2. Set the To field to [email protected]. Do not hit Send.
3. If you are logged into the Gmail account whose subscription you want to cancel, leave the Subject blank. Do not hit Send.
If you are logged into a different account, put the email address of the account whose subscription you are cancelling in the Subject line.
4. Optionally, please tell us the reason for your cancellation in the Body of the email. This is optional. Do not hit Send.
5. Do not click the Gmail Send button. Click the GMass button. Your subscription will end immediately, but your account will remain on its plan until your paid period is up. So if you’re a monthly subscriber, you can still use GMass until the end of your monthly period. The same applies if you’re an annual subscriber. You will receive a message in your Inbox telling you when your account will be demoted to free status.
Important: Be sure to hit the red GMass button, and not the regular Gmail Send button, because [email protected] is not a real email address; it is a command. Hitting the regular Send button will result in a bounce. If you do not have the GMass button because you uninstalled the extension, you must re-install the GMass extension to cancel your subscription.
So that means: If you receive a message from Mail Delivery Subsystem saying “Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: [email protected], ” then you have pressed the Gmail Send button. Try again, and be sure to hit the red GMass button.
Another note: It’s easiest if you’re logged into the Gmail account that has the GMass subscription you wish to cancel. But if you can’t log in to that account, you can log into ANY other Gmail account that is connected to GMass. We will then verify that the logged-in Gmail account has permission to cancel the subscription of the other account before the cancellation is final.
Last note: Uninstalling the GMass extension does not automatically cancel your subscription to GMass. Just like, if you remove the Netflix app from your mobile device, it doesn’t automatically cancel your Netflix subscription.
PayPal Subscriptions
If you paid with PayPal, you must log in to your PayPal account and cancel your GMass subscription from there. Your GMass account will be demoted to “free” account status within a few minutes after canceling. When you cancel a PayPal subscription to GMass, you do not get the unused time for the month or year. Your account will be demoted to “free” status right away and its limits will reset to the free account sending limits right away. With credit card subscriptions, you would get the unused time.
Bitcoin Subscriptions
If you paid with Bitcoin, your subscription already has a pre-determined life, and it will automatically cancel after your paid time has expired. Bitcoin transactions are one-time transactions and are not recurring.

I am unable to personalise emails, I have tried various methods including following the guide, I am able to copy the first name field into the email body but whenever I click send the entire first line disappears and the only thing that is received is my signature.

You would need to use the GMass button to process this. The reason being is that any @gmass.co email address is actually not an email address to send emails to but instead is a command when used with the GMass button.

Hi Larry, Make sure you have the GMass extension installed so that the red GMass button will appear. If the extension isn’t installed then the button can’t appear.

No subscription service is ever for “a month”, and this is certainly not the “rule of thumb”. On both our Pricing page and in the “welcome” email you get upon subscribing, it is explained that you are subscribed to a monthly service and are charged monthly until you cancel. I challenge you to find a SaaS company that operates differently.

We apologize if there is miscommunication on our behalf – we do not intend to offend or come off as disrespectful. Our cancellation process is actually very simple and straightforward. You may cancel a subscription on the account you’re logged into by opening a new compose, adding [email protected] into the TO field and then clicking the red GMass button.
However, if you’re logged into a different account and want to cancel a subscription on another, simply follow the same steps but add the email address of the account that has the subscription in the subject line before clicking on the GMass button.
Its awful practice to require someone to download/install your extension just to cancel the account.
Consider my situation: I’ve never used GMass before, but I’ve been tasked with cancelling the account by my boss. The Google account doesn’t even exist anymore.
Its fine for this GMass option stuff to be an option, but you need another option for someone who doesn’t want to install your stuff.
I also followed this step last month but today debited the same amount.

When Can I get my refund? I only used it for a couple of hours because all the messages where BLOCKED due to the US IP address.
It’s highly unlikely your emails were blocked because of the originating IP, unless you configured an alias address to send via an external SMTP server, and that SMTP server had an IP address with a poor reputation.

Didn’t realize I was still subscribed! I only used gmass once months ago. I paid by card but it’s not a direct debit; you’re just charging my bank card every month so I can’t even cancel it from my online banking. That’s pretty dangerous. You need to make it easier to cancel these payment subscriptions, including from mobile, otherwise it comes across as a bit sneaky on your part. Just a simple link to login to gmail would do. Would really appreciate it if you refunded my payment on 14/07/17 as I haven’t been using gmass for many months now – I forgot I had it, and saw no indication on my direct debits or standing orders that I was still being regularly debited each month. The sending limit is something that is enforced by Gmail, not by GMass. According to Google, regular Gmail accounts are officially limited to 500 emails/day, while G Suite accounts are limited to 2,000. However, not every account has the full sending limit – factors like age and reputation of the account can affect you.

I subscribed the service product yesterday and my Google account, linked with so many other service products, was blocked early in the morning today after I sent 320+90 email yesterday.
Google notification became my alarm and the message shocked me as I have only one Google account.

I have upgraded subscriptions on one of my organization’s accounts and cancelled the others and spoken with support in the past….
Yet, since September I have been triple billed. The PayPal cancellation needs further explanation. And support. It’s one thing to let $8.95 slide one month and contact support to resolve AND upgrade… it is another to go back and find you have been billed more than $100 for inactive accounts within your organization.

You received that message because Gmail tried to send an email to an email address that does not exist. That indicates that you have clicked the Gmail send button instead of the GMass button.
Our cancelation instructions are clear to indicate that you must click on the red GMass button when processing your cancelation. Clicking on the GMass button sends a command to GMass and not directly sending an email when the cancelation address is entered into the TO field of your compose window.

I cannot cancel my subscription via email! It says: Error details: The account [MyGmail] has NOT been changed, because no active Stripe-based subscription was found. Perhaps you are subscribed via PayPal. If so, you must cancel from inside your PayPal account.
However, I payed via PayPal where no PayPal account is used (instead, I directly used a credit card). Hence, I cannot cancel it via PayPal.

Everyone here having an issue with Gmass refund policy. TAKE THIS page, go to your bank or paypal – give them a copy. TELL them YOUR ISSUE and how it is sometimes IMPOSSIBLE for refund. They will ding this company’s merchant service.
Hit them in the wallets – that’s when they pretend to care enough to change something. The FTC etc can’t do anything about it but Visa and Paypal WILL!
Also, show them Ajay and his responses. Show the management/founders actions against people. The smuggness is a red flag to merchant services. Keep that in mind.

Although Gmail accounts (those ending with @gmail.com or @googlemail.com) are officially limited to 500 emails per day, we have noticed over time that there are other factors that affect the send limits for an account. Uninstalling the GMass extension does not cancel your subscription as GMass can be installed/uninstalled freely to allow users to use GMass on multiple PCs.

I don’t really know where to start to express my disappointment and even anger at the case outlined below. I decided to move my email campaigns from GetResponse to Gmass based on the verified claim that I could obtain better opening rates. I created a Gmail address in line with my campaign and then prepared my transmission. I was fully aware of the fact that with a new email address my campaign (more than 1300 opted-in addresses) would be split up into 500 messages each day. I submitted the email (using the gmass button) and 480 messages were sent on day one, with a great opening rate (20% +).
But then no more messages were sent on day 2 and I couldn’t make heads nor tails of the reason why. Something about my message had turned up in the Trash folder. So I rewrote the same message and sent it to the same addresses. Suddenly, I kept getting hundreds of messages that I had gone over the allowed email quantities and that my account had been suspended with no explanation of why. I wrote to Google Gmail support outlining this case and received a response with no explanation why this had all happened. As a side note, I had also enrolled in your monthly Gmass subscription (before my campaign transmission).
Apparently, GMass is selling itself under false pretences. Either you are a mass email service or you are not. I have followed your instructions as outlined in your training videos and this has lead me to catastrophic consequences. All my older Gmail accounts connected to the account “[email protected]” have been suspended, even those housing my old YouTube accounts, and I haven’t got the faintest idea why. I cannot access my email list to download, nor the videos in my YouTube account, nor all my documents in Google Docs which represent ten years of hard work and thousands of dollars!
The only thing that I can imagine that possibly could have happened is that the Gmail system didn’t recognise my campaign transmission as a Gmass transmission and that therefore I am being punished under the Gmail rules and not those of Gmass. I demand an explanation to this (for me) debacle.
I am requesting the following:
– A .csv file of all my email addresses uploaded into Sheets in the (original) [email protected] account
– Reinstatement of all other accounts which have been affected by [email protected]
– Either reinstatement of this account or cancellation and refund of my Gmass subscription
Without a sufficient explanation and action I intend to take this matter further. There is enough dissent currently about Google’s monopolistic stance and this is a good example of someone trying to do the right thing being totally ignored and crushed by this giant.

Suspension of a Gmail account is at the sole discretion of Google. According to their knowledge base, an account may be terminated for violating its Terms and Conditions. GMass can’t control whether Google suspends an account, nor can it help re-activate a suspended account as GMass is a separate entity from Google, Gmail or any of its subsidiaries.
We’re unsure what you mean by GMass selling itself under false pretenses as is with any process, mass email marketing also has its set limits. We’ve written several articles, one of goes into details as to exactly how many emails a Gmail or a G Suite account can actually send versus the officially listed sending limit. We’ve also stated that whether you have a free or a paid GMass account, your overall sending limit per day is the same and is determined by Gmail, not by GMass.
We’ve also been transparent that new free Gmail accounts (ending in @gmail.com or @googlemail.com) with no history has very limited sending ability and could be limited to even just 10 emails right when the account is created.

As a CEO myself, while you might be right on how you address refund cases because there might be way too many corny requests, I do humbly request you to refund me whatever I have paid to use your services.

The reason being is when you have any address that ends with @gmass.co, it is an internal command for GMass when used in tandem with the red GMass button. Any @gmass.co address is technically not an email address to send emails to but is meant to issue commands to GMass, this is the reason why GMass hides the regular send button because using the blue send button with an @gmass.co address would result in a bounced email.

I keep submitting a request for a refund since my account doesn’t renew till April 21st and I noticed my credit card was charged. I have not used this feature in almost a year. When I submit the request, I keep getting an error response saying … Uh oh, something went wrong. Here is the detailed error: SqlException error: Index #0 Error: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlError: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.
Usually waiting a few seconds and hitting the GMass button AGAIN will fix this.

Since a subscription can be connected to multiple instances of a GMass installation, we opted to have the cancellation via a command using the subscribed account instead which would prevent inadvertently cancelling a subscription when disconnecting a PC to GMass.
It’s a fast and easier alternative, so you would just need to open a new compose on the subscribed account that you want to cancel the subscription on. Address it to [email protected] and then click the red GMass button to process.

If this was done correctly, you should have received a confirmation email for the cancelation of your subscription. If you received something like a bounce error – then you have inadvertently clicked on the Gmail send button instead of the red GMass button.
You could’ve contacted GMass support back then so we could be able to assist you with the cancelation, but we didn’t hear from you until today.
Our cancellation procedure is a basic 3 step (with an extra optional step to provide the reason for cancellation). It’s as easy as opening a new compose, address it to [email protected], and click the red GMass button.

To summarize these steps, you would need to open a new compose on your NEW email account addressed to [email protected] with the subject FROM:[email protected] then click the red GMass button.

This is because your subscription was already canceled. When you attempted to cancel the subscription again, it returned this error because the subscription had already been canceled on your initial attempt. You should have received a confirmation email regarding the cancellation.

When you signed up for the subscription, you were signing up for either a monthly or annual subscription which is by definition recurring. Signing up for the subscription is your opt-in for the auto renewal.
With regard to your account, you would need to contact our support team (gmass.co/g/support) so we can assist you in cancelling and refunding your most recent charge. This is required as we cannot directly cancel via requests on our blog without being able to verify ownership first.

Most of the issues experienced by users in cancelling their subscription are usually caused by 1 of 2 reasons. The first being they are not clicking the red GMass button when cancelling and the other is they are not logged into the account they are attempting to cancel.
However, we have made changes to our policies from more on self-service to more on customer service. This includes cancelations so if a user needs to cancel their subscription, they can simply contact our support team (gmass.co/g/support) to request to cancel. Of course, if they are requesting from a different email address that the one subscribed, we will need to verify ownership first by having them confirm details of their payment method. However, if the request is coming from the subscribed email address, it is canceled as requested right away.
The sending limit is something that is enforced by Gmail, not by GMass. According to Google, regular G Suite accounts are limited to 2,000. But other factors like the age of the account, content of the Campaign, or reputation of the domain can affect your sending limit.

Regarding the annual subscription, yes we would offer a prorated refund. But if you’re not 100% sure about being able to utilize an annual subscription fully or if you’ll just be using the subscription on some months then we would recommend going the month-to-month route.
The instructions on the support page require you to “reinstall” the GMass button in order to cancel the account. I have no idea what email (if this isn’t a fraudulent charge, which I’m trying to figure out) is attached to GMass. There has to be a REGULAR email for folks that aren’t sure where they may have had GMass attached to them.
Any chance someone can fix that issue? Real support would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, just wanted to first start off by saying this is a pretty extraordinary forum with an exceptional amount of excellent information, so thank to you all. Attempting to rebuild credit based on poor decisions made a few years ago. Most frustrating part of this all is that USAA is my primary issue – very annoying considering that they’re designed to support active duty and I’ve found them to be incredibly unresponsive. Jan 2018 – began missing payments on a USAA Career Starter loan with a balance of $4753. Long story short, I was supposed to be on autopay for this loan and somehow it was removed (USAA app is miserable in my opinion). I asked repeatedly for them to reinstate my autopay on the phone and even got to the point where I asked them to record my conversations so that I could prove that I had authorized autopay but ultimately the responsibility is on the person, not the company. May 2018 my loan was charged off and closed, reporting the balance. It was never sent to collections based on my CRs. Foolishly, I attempted to dispute the account with Transunion based on active duty circumstances, and my TU score dropped from 685 (Vantage Score 3.0) to 615 because the dispute “reopened” my closed account. I’ve asked USAA to report accurately, but after a month of phone calls and even attempting to pay in full, no change in status. I received a letter from Revco Solutions offering to settle for 50%, which terrifies me because I assume that this will now be reported as a collection. It does not show as a CA account on any of my CRs so far, but I just got the letter. I got an email from Experian saying my score went up, so I decided to check my scores on Credit Karma and my scores has dropped 56 points from 600 to 544. It’s actually stated in the welcome email you’ve received when you initially subscribed that you will be billed $XX.XX per month along with the links to instructions on canceling and transferring your subscription.
You may issue yourself a refund (gmass.co/g/refund) or you may contact our support team (gmass.co/g/support) from your subscribed account so that we can issue the refund for you.

I was charged for a monthly subscription on January 10th. I do not want to continue with the subscription beyond the first month so I just went in to cancel as I don’t want to be auto-charged. After I hit submit I was told that my account would be transferred back to a free account effective today. As I’ve already paid for a month I respectfully request that my access be reinstated for the rest of the month.

After I wrote this I just received a cancellation confirmation which states “Your account is still active, however, until 2/10/2023 5:31:17 PM. After that time, your account will be demoted to free status and will only be able to send 50 emails per rolling 24 hours”.

Yes, your subscription is canceled but will still be usable for the duration of your paid through time which is until Feb 10. You don’t have to do anything else as your GMass account will automatically downgrade back down to the free version on that date.

I have somehow gotten a subscription to your extension/program – but have no recollection of doing so.
When I check with my 2 gmails, they are free account with no subscription – So I can’t unsubscribe and I really don’t understand how this has happened.

I am so mad I was just ripped off by Gmass. I sign up for a paid subscription so I can send bulk emails after. After signing up and trying to send bulk emails Google blocked me and told me I did not have permission to send that many emails what?? I just paid. After talking to support and telling them what was going on again he just sent me a link I filled out the form to be able to send bulk emails and sent it. I got a message back saying/”you have reached the end of your support you can not send us any more emails” Wait how can I send you this form? Gmass BLOCKED me. Now I can’t get set up for bulk emails or get support after I just paid for it. I am going to do a Ripoff report. This is crazy save your money. nothing to see here.

The GMass subscription plan you choose doesn’t have an effect on the sending your account is able to per day. The sending limit is something that is enforced by Gmail, not by GMass, which appears to be what happened based on your comment. According to Google, regular Gmail accounts are limited to a maximum of 500 emails per day while Workspace accounts are officially limited to sending a maximum of 2000 per day. But other factors like the age of the account, content of the Campaign, or reputation of the domain can affect your sending limit and varies from one account to another.

Yesterday I signed up for the $19.99 plan, paid it with a card, today I decided to cancel so I don’t forget to do it before next billing cycle. It says it will cancel my account in 5 hours, so I chose to re-subscribe so I can make the $19.99 worth it for one month. But it now wants to charge me another $19.99. So I basically threw the $19.99 out the window. Make sure you are 1000% certain this will work for you before you sign up.
